Servo Valves are used on later versions of the industrial RB211 and is used to accurately position the variable inlet guide vanes as part of a closed loop system.
This valve controls the amount of oil which is spilled to LP oil, which directly impacts the position of the IGV rams and subsequently the variable inlet guide vanes.
