The future with AI

AI is rapidly becoming a daily part of our lives, whether its on a personal level such as writing recipes, making recommendations on places to go, editing photos, researching and so much more.

Within energyX, we first started incorporating AI into our business around 18 months ago, and its use within the business has seen a gradual but also rapid increase. As with all new technologies, it takes time to consider if its going to be suitable for a business such as ours to utilise, and for a start I personally had my doubts.

18 months later, and AI has proven its self to be an indispensable tool for many functions of our business, such as writing code, writing draft documents, creating spreadsheets, performing calculations and creating marketing material.

These tasks which, previously would have been resource intensive now take less than 5% of the time to complete. This represents a direct time and cost saving, which allows us to pass these cost savings on to our customers.

Significant change is happening at rapid pace, not just across our industry but across every single sector. If this is the progress in 18 months, where will we be in another 18 months?

It’s an exciting time which, in my opinion should be embraced with optimism, albeit, with a sensible level of caution to ensure everyone’s business and personal interests are protected.
